Friendly and helpful. Needed medicine for an infection of the eyes, was offered two options and was happy I could have the conversation in English because my Italian is not very good. Thank you.
I had an urgent need to buy a medicine for my daughter on Sunday. I check the website of the pharmacies on duty and this pharmacy is reported. I arrive and see that the opening time is scheduled for 3pm so with only a few minutes left I decide to wait. After 15 minutes since everything was still closed I go to the bar next door and ask... apparently the pharmacist is known for his "delayed" Sunday openings, meaning he opens whenever he wants between 3.30pm and 4pm despite the indicated time. At that point I had to go elsewhere. So much for the pharmacy on duty!!
On August 30th, leaving the San Rossore nursing home after a night in emergency and with my husband still in pain in the car, I stopped to buy 3 prescribed medicines. In the pharmacy, at the counter, a rather rude woman (pharmacist?) but that's it. I wait my turn - and at least 15 minutes pass - then I show the prescription. With a smug smile I am informed that the first medicine requested is no longer available and that for the second (painkiller) the original prescription will be retained by the pharmacy. I would like to point out that my insurance (Swiss tourist) requires the original. Always with great rudeness I am answered "and then I'll give the medicine to you!" (verbatim) I take my prescription again and at the Farmacia de Ronchi, in Massa, the pharmacist appears surprised: the famous unavailable medicine is very available, the painkiller does not require the confiscation of the prescription ... I paid my 42 Euros and started therapy not without reflecting on the fact that in Italy the rules are at discretion and depend on who you find behind the counter and their level of education and intelligence! . Pharmacy to avoid and pharmacist, or simple counter clerk, who should, at the very least, review the approach to the customer.
Very helpful pharmacists, prices are average, a little higher than online pharmacies. If a drug is not available they order it for you and within a day or two you have it.
Competent and available pharmacists Parking in front of the pharmacy is free and always free Medicines available if not immediately in a very short time
