We stay here in Italy for a few months of the year and it's very reassuring to know that this place is close by should we need any medical advice. They seem to be as knowledgeable as a GP back home and you can by most prescription items over the counter. My Mum came here and forgot her warferin, she was panicking until she spoke to the chemist here and manged to but her medication.
