Open 24 hours, but after hours, it's done through a window like a drive up pharmacy window, but you walk up. Great when you need something after hours and need talk to a pharmacist. We used Google Translate to tell them what we needed for cold symptoms. The photo was a nice little vending machine between the pharmacy and the place next door. I'm rather shocked to see this on the street, but it is convenient. 🤣🤣

The pharmacist was grumpy from the moment I said “good evening”. I showed the medicine I needed, he tried to sell me something completely different, and then brought the medicine I wanted and threw it on the desk. Ignorant and disrespectful.

Don’t use their vending machine. It took our money, it didn’t give any products or receipts back and when we went to the pharmacy they didn’t didn’t give our money back or help us.

Dr Max is open 24 hours per day. I went there on a Tuesday night at 3:30am and I was helped perfectly. You cannot go in and no English. But I held my Google Translate against the window and the pharmacist read the problem in Italian. And the payment: wireless debet card against the window. Perfect! This is a really good service.

Buyers beware. Literally THE rudest experience I’ve had in my entire time in Italy. We have been to other pharmacies in Florence and Venice, and the attendants in those pharmacies were supremely helpful with helping us find what we needed. We came in to this pharmacy in Rome around 2145 (they advertise as being 24 hours), and we were intensely rushed in choosing our items with one of the workers saying “whatever you want, you need to pick it now because we have to close.” I repeatedly asked the attendant for more of the cough drops that I’d purchased in a Florence pharmacy. I told him the name and the flavor (I even told him the quantity in the box). The man who was trying to help me clearly didn’t understand me very well…which I would have been fine with, but the first guy who yelled at us to hurry through our selection literally gave the exact cough drops to another customer right before us 😒 we were then given cough SYRUP instead of cough drops even after repeatedly saying we wanted drops. I am baffled and disappointed by how horrendous this experience was. Glad we don’t have to deal with this treatment on a regular basis, but I really hate that this is a location many tourists will likely visit when they already aren’t feeling well and think that this place is actually open 24 hours like they advertise.
