NO COVID-19 TEST POSSIBLE FOR TOURISTS We, my husband and I, got tested and paid €15.00 per test. While collecting the data, we were told that we had to leave an Italian cell phone number with them for test evaluation; This would not work with a foreign cell phone number. An email address would also not be accepted. Luckily we were able to access our brother-in-law's Italian cell phone number - the first hurdle was overcome. The second came half an hour later: 30 minutes after the test, we still hadn't received the test result sent to our brother-in-law's Italian cell phone number. We called the pharmacy and asked. After two phone calls we were told that we were welcome to go back and pick up our printed test results. We could have been told that when we were there for testing. The most important thing - the QR code for the test so that you can take part in social life - is not on the printout. We only receive this QR code through notification via SMS. We also found out - which we were also not told before - that we would receive our result WITH QR code in an hour, three hours or maybe a day via SMS, since we don't have an Italian identification number. Two months ago I also took a rapid COVID-19 test at the airport in Rome and I got my result within 20 minutes.
