Fantastic pharmacist who was able to provide clear advice in English. Having been to other pharmacies who didn’t seem to be particularly knowledgeable, this pharmacist genuinely cared about my wellbeing offering a number of care options.

Great experience. They had enough stock. I used Google translate at the place I am renting for wifi. I typed in an English explanation of my symptoms and the medication I required. I used Google to translate my message to Italian. I took a photo and gave her my phone to read the Italian version. She kept all the possible causes of my symptoms in mind. The products in the pharmacy are categorised, so it is clear in which area the products you need can be found. You can choose from different options. I do not speak any Italian, but the pharmacist lady who assisted me was friendly. She is quick and gives you exactly what you need. She explained the usage instructions to me in English. Please remember that it is not a doctor, and even though she has a lot of knowledge and can help with various medical problems, a pharmacist can not spend 30 minutes on you alone like a doctor would do. And for some things, you need to see a doctor to do tests, or you might have symptoms for which there is no treatment (rare situations). But I will be staying in Florence for a full month, and I feel calm since I now know there is a friendly pharmacist who speaks English and can provide me with a variety of medicines for short-term medical problems. So this is a good place for temporary visitors, tourists and Italian citizens.
