Request for a simple antibiotic for toothache Augmentin, I add that I returned home two days later, they couldn't give me the answer without a prescription... for the so-called anti-Covid vaccines the prescription wasn't needed and they were injected anyway!!!

We took our baby to the pharmacy because of an infection on his middle finger. The nice lady gave us an ointment (antibiotics). Unfortunately, we don't speak Italian and our question as to whether an antibiotic is really necessary was met with a few words of German. However, we then read through a translator in the Italian package insert that the ointment is only approved for ages 18 and over. And that's what they give us for a baby! We then went straight back in and were given another ointment (antibiotics again). However, our trust was gone and we then went to the doctor. He smeared Betaisadona on the spot for our little one and stuck a plaster over it. He recommends salt baths and advised against the second ointment. It's not for children. Conclusion: In a pharmacy I expect at least a rough knowledge of the medications that are being dispensed. I find it negligent to give a baby a medication that is expressly only approved for ages 18 and over. I would advise against this pharmacy, but there is no alternative in Bibione. Therefore: Always think for yourself and read the package inserts using a translator!
