I recently experienced unsatisfactory service at the Sellitti Pharmacy, which I believe is important to share to help improve the quality of service offered to future customers. With an urgent medical prescription, issued by a well-known hospital and its manager, I went to the pharmacy to obtain a vital medicine for a relative. Contrary to my expectations, I encountered an unprofessional and rude attitude from the staff, who highlighted insurmountable bureaucratic complexities, such as the need for a prescription in triplicate, among other excuses, without offering practical solutions or assistance to resolve the urgency of the moment. This experience contrasts starkly with the service I received just 100 meters away at another pharmacy, where the staff demonstrated exceptional helpfulness and professionalism, providing me with the necessary medicine without hesitation. The role of a pharmacy and its staff should be to assist the community with empathy, professionalism and particular attention to the urgent needs of patients. The pharmaceutical service should not be limited to the sale of cosmetic products or commonly used medicines, but should extend to concrete and immediate support in critical situations, guaranteeing access to the necessary medicines with the least possible inconvenience for the patient and his family.
