Farmacia Comunale Piazza Maggiore

Astonishing pharmacy, integrated in the Piazza Maggiore's identity. You can locate it in the corner, by following two arrows with a green cross in the middle. It has 4 different tills, one for each section, i.e., pharmacy, cosmetics, general and supplements. Finally, to the point, it is fully equiped with anything you need. I wanted a dermatological soothing cream, for a child. And that I got. As a pharmacist, I was greatly impressed. As a tourist, I was satisfied.

I visited the pharmacy earlier this morning. It is unacceptable that the staff of a central 24-hour pharmacy in the heart of Bologna do not speak English and make no effort to communicate. They even comment on the customers in front of them in an indiscriminate manner.No helpful staff and prices twice as high as in other pharmacies in the city.

One of them sold me an expensive article instead of a good one, so my problem was getting worse. I think they are sellers, not very much helpers. Fortunately, others are not like that.

Very helpful staff that helped me translate from English to Italian

Just returned from 2 weeks in Italy and stayed in an airbnb our last few days. I asked our Host who spoke excellent Italian to look in to this Pharmacy so we could get tested for Covid 24 hrs before re-entering the US. The appointments were made, we showed up at the scheduled time, there was an employee at the door ready to help us. He directed us back to the area to show the Technician our Passports, pay $15 and have the swab (Tamponi) done. Walked back to the front and took a number from the machine and waited 15 minutes for the results. One of the employees in the glass booth called our number, gave us the results and the legal paper to download or take to the airport when you check in. Easy peasy, friendly and very professional. Located right in Piazza Maggiore and is the only one open 24 hours.
